Environmental stewardship permeates everything we do

If you take a moment to stop and appreciate the world around you, it’s easy to recognize the fingerprints of a master’s hand. Our world is impressively made, and it’s no coincidence that the ecosystem in which we live naturally provides all that we need to maintain our health and quality of life. This creation we’ve been given requires care, concern, and attention paid, and the world needs individuals like you to cultivate your gifts in service of it.

Many courses in this major will be taken at the Concordia Center for Environmental Stewardship, which is a state-of-the-art learning and research facility on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan committed to the practice of Christian environmental stewardship. Plus, you’ll have the benefit of professors who approach this discipline from a Christian perspective and who understand the responsibility we all have balance our care for humankind with our care for the environment and the rest of creation.
