PharmD acceptance: what to know

After interview day, the Admissions Committee will meet to review each applicant’s file, and come to an admission decision. All interviewed applicants will be emailed an admission decision and an admissions packet in the mail.

Admission Packet

Your admission packet will contain information about:
  • Matriculation paperwork to complete and return in order to secure a seat
  • Unfulfilled pre-pharmacy course requirements, which must be completed before the first day of graduate pharmacy classes
  • Information about final transcript requirements
  • Details on how to complete a criminal background check and the Wisconsin Caregiver Background Check
  • Requirements for immunizations, health records, and student health insurance
  • Details on orientation, tuition, and financial aid, and housing

Securing Your Seat

Applicants who are accepted are not required to submit a seat deposit but will have two weeks after admission email to submit their matriculation paperwork in order to secure their spot for the fall.

The following payment options are available:

Option 1

Submit matriculation paperwork within two weeks of acceptance to hold seat, followed by $500 by May 1 in order to register for fall classes

Option 2

Submit matriculation paperwork and $200 within two weeks of acceptance to hold seat, followed by $300 by May 1 in order to register for fall classes

Option 3

Submit matriculation paperwork and $500 within two weeks of acceptance to hold seat and register in early May

Please note:

  • Students will make a selection on their matriculation paperwork.
  • Early Decision candidates are exempt from paying the $500 deposit prior to fall course registration.
  • The $500 deposit will be applied to tuition and fees upon matriculation.

Admitted Student Days

At the admitted student day we will celebrate your admission and you will experience a fun day of activities such as lab experiences, exploring campus resources, connecting with faculty, peers, or current students, and taking a tour of campus.

Time: 9 am-12 pm CST

Official Transcripts

All final, official transcripts from all previously attended institutions must be submitted directly to PharmCAS prior to the close of the application cycle on June 30. The transcripts must indicate that you have successfully completed all required pre-pharmacy coursework with a grade of C- or better. All required pre-pharmacy coursework must be successfully completed prior to the first day of classes. Additionally, if you have finished a bachelor's degree, the transcript must indicate the degree conferred date.

If you are taking summer classes and/or fail to submit final, official transcripts to PharmCAS by the June 30 deadline, you must arrange for final, official transcripts to be sent directly to Tammy Biskobing, Office of Student Affairs Administrative Assistant, at tammy.biskobing@cuw.edu or 262-243-2755.
